The Full Moon

Guess what tonight was? That's right! A full moon! And oh, what a beautiful sight is was. This evening, I was walking around outside, and I was just in awe of the beauty as the moon as i looked at it through the branches of the tree. It lit up a few of the clouds in the sky, giving it a soft frame. Although a couple of the pictures I've attatched have been messed with by computers, I hope you can appreciate the beauty of the moon as I do!
Well my lovelies, I hope you all have a splendid week! Make the best of every moment.

Wedding Dresses

Today, I went with my mom and older sister to have my sister try on wedding dresses :) Although she isn't engaged yet, the wedding plans are already in the works! It was fun to go actually look at wedding dresses in real life for the first time. Sure, I've flipped through wedding magazines, but to go look, and analyze what I like in person was a different experience. My sister and I have different tastes, however she did pick some pretty dresses. Although I still don't know what type of dress I like most, I just picture my wedding with a vintage type atmosphere..... Oh well, i've got some years to figure that out :)
Well, congrats to my sister and her almost-fiance!

Nothing Like Homemade Rolls

As I was eating a yogurt and my weekly Friday Muffin today, I was just thoroughly enjoying the variety in flavor and texture. BUT THEN!!! ... I came home and was looking on the internet when I came across a delightful picture of rolls! I then began thinking of my mothers homemade rolls and how much I love them! My mother really is an extraordinary homemaker. After growing up with three brothers on a dairy farm, she learned how to work hard, and do not just good, but EXCELLENT work! As a result, she is a phenomenal cook :) I just want to dedicate this post to homemade rolls and my mother. What an inspirational woman she is.

Books

There are many things in life that people turn to for comfort. Some prefer to go to others for a hug or just comforting words. Others turn to hobbies or interests. One of the things that I love as a hobby and as a comfort is books. I love books. I love to read! Sometimes I like to read certain books over and over again, even until the pages are worn; and then other times I like to flip open a brand new book, and smell the fresh glued pages as I jump into a new story. I have always had a passion for reading. Oh the little blessings of life ;)

The Power of Teaching

Today, I am really appreciating teachers, and just how special they are. With both of my parents as teachers, and my major being elementary education, I have a deep appreciation for everything that teachers do. Not only do I love the influence that they have, but I also love the little things that have to do with school. Apples, freshly sharpened pencils, the smell of a new book, colorful decorations.... what a fun and creative environment!

Something Abstract

After having such a long, gray day, I thought it would be fun to take a moment and appreciate this bold, abstract artwork :) I simply love how the colors are so brights, and the artwork is so unique. Hopefully it adds some more color to everyones day!

A creation

A few months ago, I took some pictures that I liked from the internet, and put them together to make a pleasant desktop for my computer. I woud like to share it with you all now :) Although I do not have the links to the websites that the pictures came from, I hope you understand that I am not taking credit for the wonderful pictures in any way.
I hope you like this :)

(The phrase placed with the pictures says "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.")

Snow *~*~~

Oh the beauty of snow! For the last couple weeks, Provo has been enjoying some lovely sun and dry weather with a few spouts of snow here and there. Today was the most moisture I had been in for a while! Although the snow and rain didn't come down very heavy, I spent a lot of my time in it while walking around campus from class to class. Unfortunately, my yellow shoes got extremely wet, but that was the only downfall to the weather (in my opinion).
I just love the intricate beauty of snow. There are so many things that go unnoticed until it snows. The beautiful color of white, the complex structure of a snowflake, the blessing of having and umbrella or hooded coat/jacket, crisp cool air, and a warm home to return to at the end of the day.

Today was a Brown day

Today was a brown day. That's not a bad thing. Things weren't as exciting and active like on a yellow, pink, or orange day. They weren't calm yet pleasing like on a green, blue, or purple day. Today, it was brown. I liked it. Instead of always running around and trying to be to certain places on time, or being giddy and carefree while going through the steps of life.... I was just there. I had the opporunity to just observe, think, and exist. How often do we get a brown day? Again, it wasn't blue, where things are calm. No no no. It was brown.

I challenge you all to take the chance sometime to appreciate a brown day. Don't let it make you feel sad or depressed in any way. Let it capture your creativity and imagination!

Inspiration from the Weekend: Ballerinas

Hello my lovies! What a splendid weekend we just had :) Although it did snow a little bit, the clouds parted every now and then to let the sun (or moon) show their happy face! It was a great weekend to relax yet get a lot of unfinished tasks done.
On Saturday, I was so blessed to go to a ballet with one of my dearest friends, Justin. Oh what a thrill it was to see all of those very talented girls on Pointe! They were very strong dancers, and I was in awe of their abilities. The last number was a tango (that's right, a ballet tango), and I just fell in love with the soloists! They did some outstanding lifts and partner work. The girl was full of grace (which includes flexibility and strength), and the guy was a very firm partner that helped guide the two of them around the stage. If I could be anything in the world, I would be a Prima Ballerina :) What a life that would be.
I have attached some pictures of some ballerinas that I hope you enjoy!

Testifying through Music

I love those Sundays where the music sung throughout the day touches your heart and strengthens your testimony. Today was one of those days for me. Although, I admit, I had a difficult time listening to the speakers, the music pierced my heart. One of my all time favorite hymns is I Know that My Redeemer Lives. I love how the song firmly testifies of the existance of Christ and gives such strong confidence to anyone who sings it.
I am so grateful for the power of music. I have truely been blessed with many opportunities to be touched by music, whether it be I am participating in the production or simply listening to it. I pray that we can all learn to appreciate music more, because it truely is a gift from God that we should love and never abuse.
